Basic Browned Chicken

This is a very simple recipe, but it’s very tasty. I’m trying to cut down on carbs so I made a small salad on the side.

Ingredients
- Chicken – defrosted; cut into pieces
- Water
- Spices of choice – garlic powder, salt, pepper, Emeril's Essence
- Butter – couple tablespoons

Preparation
Step 1
In a pot, put chicken and cover with water. Add a few pinches of salt and a little garlic powder.
Bring to a boil. Continue boiling for about 15-30 minutes or until chicken is completely cooked. Drain chicken. Sprinkle essence of Emeril, salt and pepper
In a frying pan, melt butter. Add chicken and fry on all sides until golden brown. It should take about 5-10 minutes per side. Enjoy!

If you don’t have Essence of Emeril, you can use Cajun seasoning blends or whatever spices you like.
