Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 2 oz. chopped cooking ham
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 medium garlic clove
- 1/4 tsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6-8 chopped olives
- 1 tsp. capers
- 1 red Chayanne pepper
- 1 envelope of Knorr Culantro, Achiote and Oregano
- 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. recaíto
- 2 tsp. raisins
- 2 tsp. sliced almonds

Preparation
Step 1
In deep pot, brown ground meat. Drain most of grease and add garlic, ham, oregano, vinegar, salt, olives, capers, sazón, recaíto and tomato sauce. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and cover pot. Cook for 15 minutes covered. Uncover and cook another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
This recipe is used in making pastelillos, alcapurrias, stuffed green peppers, piñon and many other dishes.
