Preparation
Step 1
1. Whisk the yellow mustard, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard powder, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper in a bowl. Whisk in the butter.
2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then toss with about 1/3 of the mustard sauce in a large bowl until coated. Let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Preheat grill.

REVIEWS:
The best BBQ chicken I have ever made, I though all that mustard was going to be over powering but the sugar balanced all out, the kids love it, I made it with roasted broccoli and they asked me to put some of the extra sauce over the broccoli, this one will be on the summer tradition list.
Great very Tasty. Will be doing this one again. For sure!
Fantastic marinade/sauce. I didn't have any dry mustard so I added a little spicy brown mustard & a clove of garlic (though I doubt these changes changed anything. I had a little time, so I let the chicken sit in the marinade for about an hour. Hardly did any basting. The chicken came out moist and succulent. Didn't even need the extra sauce after grilling. Everyone asked to make this again - so simple and so delicious. Do try.
Everyone at my house loved it. i put 3 cloves of minced garlic as well,
God bless whoever invented this recipe.
Just made this recipe, it was great! My husband who is not a fan of chicken ate numerous pieces! Super moist, I will definitely use this recipe again.
Made this twice, exactly as written, once with bone-in thighs and once with boneless thighs - delicious! A nice change from the tomato-based barbecue sauces.
This is a fantastic recipe! It's especially good when cooked on a charcoal grill. My fiancee doesn't particularly like mustard but he loves this chicken. It's become a summer favorite in my house!
An excellent tangy Carolina BBQ flavor. I added a mango salsa option with it as well. Everyone at our 4th of July cookout loved it. Definitely will add it to the list of Chicken BBQ options.
Yummy!!
I love this recipe! Kids liked it too, Plus it was eassy to make!!..
This was a great recipe! We loved it. We added a little bit more sugar and some additional hot sauce to make it a little bit hotter. This was a perfect grilled chicken recipe for July 4th weekend.

Tried this for the first time out of the magazine. I'll agree with other reviewers that the chicken stayed moist, but I did use boneless breast instead of thighs. Will make again for sure.

I tried this recipe last night. My family LOVED it!!! It was easy to make, easy to grill and delicious to eat. This recipe is definitely going into my personal cookbook and will be used several times this summer. Next time, I plan to use chicken breast meat on skewers in place of the chicken thighs. Try this recipe, you will not be disappointed!

We loved this recipe. Super fast to whip up, and the chicken turns out so juicy. We didn't even bother with the extra sauce on the table, because the chicken was flavorful as is. One note - do follow instructions to oil the grill grate. I posted photos over on my food blog - From Blah to Ta-Daa!

This recipe is very good. I followed the recipe and the chicken was moist and done to perfection. Just be careful when grilling because the brown suger in the glaze causes flare ups on the grill. Will definitely try this again.
