Ingredients

1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening. Gradually add sugar and cream well. Beat in egg and extract. Gradually add flour, sifted, with salt and baking powder. Fill cookie press. Form into desired shapes on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
