Ho Ho Cake

This is a real treat. Tastes like it's name sake and well worth the effort to make. I take one of these to almost every function we go to and needless to say there is never a return trip for this cake.

- Filling:
- Cake
- 1 box cake mix Prepared as directed on box.
- 1 tub of chocolate icing
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter softened but NOT melted
- 2/3 cup of shortening
- 2 tsps vanilla extract
- 5 ounces evaporated milk.

Preparation
Step 1
Bake cake as directed in 2 layer cake pans. Cool completely, the colder the better. I usually place in freezer until ready to use.
Mix filling ingredients together and whip on high speed for 15 mins NO LESS TIME or the filling will seperate. Spread onto layer cake stack and ice completely. This part is optional but best to do- freeze cake until filling is set firm. This makes the icing set onto the filling easily.
Melt tub of frosting in microwave 10 secs at a time. Mel just until it is pourable. Pour onto cake and smooth out. Chill until set.
