Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • 3 lb. ground beef (the leaner the better)
  • 2 C. quick oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 C. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • Sauce:
  • 2 C. ketchup
  • 1 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 2 T. liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 C. chopped onion

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and shape into walnut-sized balls. Spray jelly roll pan with Pam and place meatballs in a single layer in pan. (Makes 2 jelly roll pans).

Place and mix sauce ingredients in saucepan. Stir and cook on low heat until ingredients are dissolved. Pour over meatballs. Bake for 1 hour at 350.
