- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 8 medium yellow onions thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step 1
1. In a large dutch oven over medium-high heat, melt butter. And add thyme, garlic powder,pepper flakes and smoked paprika -cook stirring constantly for 30 seconds
2. Add onions and salt. Cover and cook for 5 minutes
3. Reduce heat to low and cook covered for 25 minutes, stirring every 5 or so minutes
4.Uncover, stir and cook uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking
5. Increase heat to high and cook the last 10 minutes
