  • 2 lbs ripe tomatoes, to make 4 cups
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp table salt

Preparation

Step 1

To peel tomatoes, put into boiling water for about 30 seconds, then peel. Measure 4 cups. Put all ingredients together into saucepan. Bring to a boil Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times. Cool. Pack into containers, leaving 1 inch room for expansion. Freeze.
