Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce
  • 3 Tbsp minced fresh chives or green onion tops
  • 3 Tbsp minced fresh flat-leaf parsley, plus sprigs for garnish
  • 1/2 cup minced celery
  • 1/4 lb small cooked shrimp
  • 3 oz fresh-cooked crabmeat, picked over for cartilage or shells
  • Lavosh crackers or baguette slices

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco and mix together until blended. Stir in the chives, minced parsley, celery, shrimp, and crabmeat. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate until well chilled.

To serve, garhish with parsley sprigs and serve with crackers and baguette slices.
