Ingredients

  • 1 kg fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 50 mL chopped onion
  • 250 mL light cream
  • 500 mL milk
  • 50 mL margarine
  • 30 mL flour
  • 7 mL salt
  • Dash pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine in a medium saucepan. Saute onion and mushrooms until tender. Lift onion and mushrooms ot of margarine; set aside. Remove from heat. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Slowly stir in light cream and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring just until slightly thickened and smooth. Add mushrooms and onion and heat through. Season with salt and pepper.
