Slice Italian Cookies (with cherry, nuts, raisins or fruit)

Ingredients

• 1 box lemon cake mix
• 2 cups flour
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup oil
• 1/2 cup water

Step 1

Mix all together and make a nice dough. If too sort add a little more flour. Add 1 cup cherries, 1/2 cup each of raisins and nuts and mix well. Or you may add 1 cup of fruit like you do when you make fruit cakes. Make about 4 or 5 logs to fit on a cookie sheet, greased. Two logs to a baking pan. Bake at 350-375 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and slice. You may leave them plain or make a light frosting or just sprinkle confectionary sugar.
