Special Chex Bars

Ingredients

• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup white karo syrup
• 1 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
• 6-7 cups chex cereal
• 1 pk milk chocolate chips
• 1 pk butterscotch chips

Preparation

Step 1

Bring sugar and syrup to a boil in a large pot. Take off heat and mix in peanut butter until melted. Mix cereal in one cup at a time, but work fast! Mixture starts to become thick and hard to stir. Pour mixture onto greased cookie sheet, and press down. You may need to butter your fingers because the mix is hot! Melt chips in microwave, 30-45 seconds at a time. Ice bars while hot and cut right away. Let cool at room temperature. Enjoy!
