Ingredients
- 2.2 lbs asparagus---about 36 oz or 4 cups
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Salt and pepper
- Gratd Parmesan

Step 1
CUt away the hard part of the asparagus stalks and peel the remaining stalk, leaving tips intact
Tie the stalks into bunches and palce bunches upright in boiling salted water in a high , straight sided saucepan. The water should not cover a third of the length of the stalks.
Place a lid on the pan and boil for 20 minutes. The asparagus will cook in the water and the steam.
Remove the asparagus and place in acolander to drain.
Imarese the colander in cold water, then drain the apsaragus well.
Arrange asparagus on an oven proof dish; pour the melted butter over and sprinkle with salt and pepper
Place in a hot oven for a few minutes
Sprinkle with parmasan generously
