Preparation

Step 1

Combine the above ingredients, adding nuts last. Pour mixture into your greased pan, and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Chocolate Chip Brownies:
Use the above basic recipe. Instead of mixing your nuts into the batter though, sprinkle 1/2 to 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and a handful of your chosen nuts on top of your completed “raw” dish. Now, bake as above, and enjoy!

Chocolate/Chocolate Chip Brownies:
Use the above basic recipe, but leave out the nuts altogether. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the mixture and bake. Ice cooled brownies with milk chocolate icing and sprinkle with holiday toppings, both of which I purchase.

Chocolate Peppermint Brownies:
Use the basic recipe. Use peppermint flavoring instead of vanilla though, and bake. When the brownies are still warm from the oven sprinkle 5 sticks of chocolate peppermint canes crushed (you can also use crushed peppermint) over the top. Drizzle your dessert with milk chocolate icing or Hershey Syrup.
