This was very popular at a neighborhood gathering last night. Although I thought there was too much icing, everyone else thought it was just fine. This is definitely NOT "just a sheet cake" - it has the texture and density of a regualr brownie. Since I had no orange extract, I substituted Cointreau, which worked fine.

These are awesome and unique. Great orange flavor with the creamy and tangy frosting. They were a hit at a recent party and I will definitely make again.

These are fantastic, I just made them for a cookout we're having tomorrow and since it was a new recipe I had to taste one.. OH BOY! nice orange taste, even tho I had to substitute OJ for the extract they were still excellent. Not sure why they are called brownies since there is no chocolate.. more like orange blondies, but the are dense like brownies and I love that. I will definitely keep making this recipe. It did make more frosting then needed but I'll just have to make something else to frost. You won't be disappointed with this recipe

I made the brownies today and they were delicious. It was moist. The frosting was out of this world. I will definitely make this again.

Very very good! I didnt have orange extract so I just squeezed a little juice from the orange and it was just right! Orange flavor wasn't overpowering! Even my mom liked them and normally she doesn't care for this type of dessert!

These brownies are the most delicious brownies in world! My son asks me to make them all the time. I had to cut out some of the sugar though because they are very sweet. You know, it's not a baklava, it's a BROWNIE! :)

It's a dreary day here in "sunny" California so it was a perfect day to make this bright and delicious brownies! I followed the brownie recipe to a T and they came out very moist. Lots of orange flavor. I did take the advice of some of the reviews and cut the frosting in half. It was a perfect amount to cover the brownies completely. What a nice change from the traditional chocolate brownie and so summery and yummy!

I loved these brownies but I thought they were a bit to sweet. I am looking forward to trying them again but using half the amount of sugar!

OH MY GOSH is all I can say. This recipe is amazing, I made these brownies and took them to work and everyone loved them. They are a little sweet so I will definitely cut the frosting in half next time I make these.

Ooooohhhhhh wooooooooow! I can't explain it, but these kind of leave you speechless. They are moist, dense, and sweet: my favorite combination. The orange zest makes the dessert almost float off the table. Be careful after taking one bite. It is an almost blissful experience.

Love this recipe! I made it just to change up from the typical chocolate brownies and was super impressed! They have a great dense brownie texture with a light citrus taste. I admit that I did cut back on the sugar a bit and it was plenty sweet. This will now be my go to for summer bars. I imagine that they would be easily exchanged with any type of citrus. A new fav!

I made these for a Super Bowl party and they were a BIG hit! The texture is more like a cake than a brownie, but the taste is divine. This isn't something I would make often considering all the butter involved, but it is certainly something you can indulge in occasionally. I would like to try this recipe with a few healthy substitutions and see how it taste. Next time I will try this with lemons. YUM!

Just made these brownies for super bowl tomorrow and couldn't wait to taste. Soooo yummy, I love the texture and the orange flavor is a nice change from the chocolate brownies. I didn't change a thing. Will add this one to my recipe box.

SOOO GOOD. I loved these and so did my boyfriends family. I loved the chewiness and next time I will bake them a little longer, I baked them in an Airbake pan and it went about 40 mins. The best part was the browned chewy edges. I don't know where people got "cake-like" results from. Very dense chewy flavorful and awesome. I didn't have orange ext so I used Cointreau (orange liquor.
