  • 1/2 Cup butter, (1 stick), room temperature
  • 1/4 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 TB. CINNAMON (Marjorie uses VIETNAMESE)
  • 1 1-foot sheet parchment or waxed paper

Preparation

Step 1

Place the butter, brown sugar and CINNAMON in a medium bowl. Mix until thoroughly blended. Place on the edge of the paper and roll tightly. Twist both ends of the paper and place in the freezer, until firm, about one hour. We found, after 30 minutes, it was easier to get a more perfect cylinder shape by re-rolling the half firm butter in the paper and popping it back in the freezer. So if it doesn't seem perfect at first, no worries!
