- 1 C SOFTENED BUTTTER
- 8 C CONFECTIONERS SUGAR
- 6 T MILK
- 2 t VANILLA
- FOOD COLORING, OPTIONAL

Preparation
Step 1
IN A LARGE BOWL, BEAT BUTTER, SUGAR, MILK AND VANILLA. FROSTING WILL BE THICK. ADD FOOD COLORING IF DESIRED.
CHOCOLATE: SUB 1/2 C BAKING COCOA FOR 1/2 C SUGAR.
LEMON OR ORANGE: SUB LEMON OR ORANGE JUICE FOR MILK AND ADD 1 t GRATED LEMON OR ORANGE PEEL.
ALMOND OR PEPPERMINT: SUB ALMOND OR PEPPERMINT EXTRACT FOR THE VANILLA. LIQUID OR PASTE FOOD COLORING MAY BE ADDED TO MATCH FLAVORING (GREEN FOR MINT) OR FOR CONTRAST WHEN DECORATING.
