Preparation
Step 1
Blend all ingredients thoroughly and chill.
Note: Salt is optional and some prefer to omit it. White pepper can be added. Lemon juice may be used in place of vinegar. Sugar may be reduced, if desired, or honey may be used instead. Sweeten to taste. Olive oil mayonnaise is very good in this recipe but any kind may be used.

It's OK, a little bit bland maybe a bit of salt and pepper.
Five stars out of five! This is a keeper and you should use it on your coleslaw. It's fabulous. I've made coleslaw with this dressing for our Wednesday night church meals serving about 40 people three times this year and everyone raves about it. Comments like, "I usually don't like coleslaw, but this is delicious", "there is something different in here and I love it!". I'm sure the horseradish is key.
When you make coleslaw and use this dressing, please cut the cabbage yourself, whether with a knife like I do or in a food processor with the disc blade insert. The already shredded bagged stuff is just horrible when you compare tastes. It doesn't take that long to cut cabbage yourself and the taste difference is well worth it, not to mention the cost savings.
Best cole slaw dressing I've ever had!
Tasty tasty coleslaw....lots of positive comments on it....and it never lasts!
Love the bite of the horseradish but a bit too sweet for my flavor profile. I halved the sugar and it was perfect!

I changed the horseradish to hot sauce since we had no horseradish, and OMG it is sooooooo good, I LOVE it!!
This is way too sweet - perhaps 1/4 cup of sugar instead. Otherwise, it is has a very nice flavour and consistency.
Nobody loves coleslaw any more than I do and a good recipe is a keeper. This is the best recipe I've come by yet and it's so simple, who knew horseradish could elevate cabbage to a five star menu item!
I cut down on the sugar after reading the comments and it was a hit. Really like the horseradish in it.
This is amazing. The first batch I made I added the full amount of sugar and it was a bit too sweet, but I only added half the sugar for the second batch and it was amazing.
Awesome ! Easy to make perfect combination Thanks !
This was awesome, I changed it a little by adding a half cup of low fat sour cream and a half cup mayo and it was wonderful, even the children ate it!
I cut the sugar out completely and didn't miss it at all. I probably added a bit more horseradish than the recipe stated, but I like the KICK! I also used cider vinegar instead of plain old white...
I agree, half the sugar is sufficient, also add a good squeeze of lemon juice and definitely fresh ground pepper
Just the right amount on sweetness and loved the little kick from the horseradish.......awesome paired with a slow roasted bar-b-que pulled pork sandwich!
OMG!! Just made this and did 1/2 mayo, 1/2 sour cream, 1/4 c Splenda, some pepper to taste, a little extra celery seed and a few dashes Frank's Red Hot and its absolutely YUM-MO!!!!
I made this for the first time today and its just the best! Not too heavy, seasonings just right...YUM!
Little too sweet for me with 1/2 cup sugar so went with 1/4 cup and its perfect. The horseradish flavor gives it a zip that my family LOVES! Definitely my go-to recipe for coleslaw dressing from now on.
I'm convinced. Thanks for reader suggestions: I will cut sugar, add salt, fresh pepper, apple cider vinegar, lemon.
I used 1/2 cup mayo and 1/2 cup ff cottage cheese. I didn't have horseradish so I substituted chinese hot mustard and cut way back on the sugar, blended it in my magic bullet and it was sooo creamy with that sneaker bite at the end!... yummmmmmm
It would have gotten a 5, but the sugar is overbearing. I ended up re-making it with less sugar (I should have read all the reviews) and it was awesome. I added twice the horseradish because I LOVE that element! I will definitely use this as my coleslaw recipe. Thanks!
Add salt and pepper and and it could be a big hit! Got to have pepper.
Yummy I used 1/4 cup sugar like everyone said and it was awesome!
Absolutely delicious!
Awesome recipe. My kids will only eat coleslaw with bottled dressing... UNTIL NOW !!!! I skipped the horseradish, cut the sugar by 30%, and added 2 extra tbsp. of white vinegar and VOILA .. better than bottled. Thank you so much for sharing!
VERY good but definitely cut the sugar in half. The horseradish is what makes this great
