Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 2/3 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 cups white cabbage, chopped
- 1 cup red cabbage, chopped
- To taste: cayenne pepper, black pepper, Tabasco sauce, salt

Step 1
1. Stie the sugar into the vinegar and cook them into the vinegar and cook them in a saucepan ovre medium heat, continuing to stir as the sugar dissolves. Add the onions, barbecue sauce, and water. Simmer 10 minutes.
2. Place the cabbage in heatproof bowl. Pour the hot liquid over the cabbage. Toss well. Let the slaw stand 5-10 minutes, then drain or spoon off any excess liquid. Add peppers, Tabasco sauce, and salt to taste. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.
