  • 1 box cake mix
  • 1 tub frosting

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Spoon 1/4 cup cake batter into clean 4 oz mason jars that have been sprayed with nonstick spray.
Put the mason jars on a rimmed baking sheet or a 9x13 pan.
Bake at the temperature listed on the box for 20 to 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove jars from pan and place on wire rack to cool.
When cakes are completely cool, spread the top with frosting.
Put the lid on the jar and seal with the screw top band.
Use within a few days of baking.
