  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 2 pts fresh berries or 16 oz frozen, thawed
  • 1 c orange juice
  • 1 c dry red, dry white wine or orange juice
  • 1 (8 oz) carton sour cream
  • Sliced strawberries

Preparation

Step 1

Stir together sugar and cornstarch. In blender or food processor, blend half the berries with 1/2 cup orange juice. Add wine or juice. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Transfer to a covered container. Stir in sour cream. Cover and refrigerate 6 to 24 hours. Serve chilled soup in bowls, garnished with sliced strawberries.
