Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil, for sautéing
  • 1/3 Large onion finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 3/4 cup Ritz cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of tabasco sauce
  • Parsley, oregano, black pepper and salt to taste.
  • For the sweet ketchup sauce.
  • 1 Cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbs brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs honey
  • 1 Tbs Dijon Mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash Tabasco

Preparation

Step 1

To make the meatloaf. Saute the onions and garlic until translucent. In a large mixing bowl, mix the sautéed onion-garlic with the hamburger. Mix thoroughly, then add the remaining ingredients. Mix all and mold the mixture into a rectangular loaf.

To make the sauce. Mix all ingredients well.

Cover the top of the meatloaf with the sweet ketchup sauce (save additional sauce, if any, for another purpose). Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 1/2 hours, or until the maetlaof is cooked through.
