Ingredients
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 large egg -- plus
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 cups bread flour - (to 3 1/2 cups)
- 1/8 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast - (to 2 tspns)
- 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese in 1/4" dice -- see * Note

Preparation
Step 1
* Note: Cut cheese into 1/4" size dice and keep in a container in the
freezer until ready to add to dough.
Place all ingredients, except cheese, in the bread pan in the order
recommended by your machine's manufacturer.
Add diced cheese at Add In Beep
BAKE ON LIGHT CRUST, MEDIUM LOAF
This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
