Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup crisco
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 TBSP sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 pkg yeast
- 3 beaten egg yolks (save whites)
- 1 cup warm milk
- Solo apricot filling
- Powdered Sugar Frosting
- 2 TBSP margarine (soft)
- 1.5 cups powdered sugar
- vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Cut the crisco into flour, salt, and sugar.
Stir the yeast into the warm water and stir until dissolved.
Add the egg yolks and milk to flour mixture. Put in a salad bowl and refrigerate covered tightly. Let sit over night.
Divide dough into 4 pieces. Take a piece and coat with flour. Roll out onto floured surface. Cover middle third of dough with apricot filling. Fold into the middle and tuck in ends.
Place on a cookie sheet. Repeat with all pieces.
Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.
Mix margarine and powdered sugar. Boil a cup of water, and add 1/4 TBSP at a time until the right consistency. Add vanilla and stir. Drizzle over rolls.
