Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 cup regular oatmeal, uncooked
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup ketchup (divided)
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- l/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- l/4 tsp. cayenne
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. rubbed sage
- 1 cup tomato sauce (divided)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- l/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 2 tablespoons vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the hamburger, oats, onion, egg, l/2 cup ketchup, Worcestershire, salt and pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, sage, and l/2 cup tomato sauce.
Mix well, and pack into a lightly greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Stir together the remaining l/2 cup ketchup, l/2 cup tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, brown sugar, prepared mustard and vinegar.
Pour over meatloaf, and bake 45-50 minutes longer.
Bake for 40 more minutes after adding the topping.
