  • 2 C shortening
  • 2 C buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. soda
  • 4 1/2 C flour
  • vanilla

Mix all ingredients and chill in refrigerator for one hour before rolling out.

(Use 6 cups flour for drop cookies)
