Chocolate almond biscotti

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup baking cocoa
- one quarter teaspoon salt

Preparation
Step 1
Beat butter and sugar until well blended.
Add eggs and extracts and mix until smooth.
Stir dry ingredients together and not almonds.
Mix dry ingredients into wet and then stir in almonds.
Divide dough in half.
Shape into rectangular log, 2 inches in diameter by 11 inches long.
Place on ungreased baking sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Remove from pan and let cool for 15 minutes.
Cut diagonally into half inch thick slices.
Place cut side down on baking sheet and return to oven for 8 to 9 minutes.
Turn slices over and cook for another 8 to 9 minutes.
When cool, dip in chocolate.
