Ingredients
- 1 cup softened Butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup slightly toasted blndshed almonds, finely ground (optional)
- 1 dash salt

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream bueter in larwl mixing bowl. Add sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and extracts. Gradually blend in flourd slmonds and salt.
Using pastry bag and large star tip, pipe dough into rosettes or stars about 1-3/4" in diameter onto ungreased cookie sheets. Decorate with cherries or sprinkles. Bake 10-12 minutes or until pale golden. Remove from cookie sheets and cool completely on wire rack. Makes 3-1/2 dozen.
