Ingredients

  • 8 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 scoops vanilla sugar
  • 6 yolks
  • 1/2 Tbs salt
  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 1/2 Tbs dry yeast(or 1 1/2 oz.fresh yeast)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • Filling
  • 1 cup good quality cocoa
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 2 scoops vanilla sugar
  • Crumb Topping
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 stick margarine

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast with 1 tsp sugar,1/2 cup warm water
Mix rest of ingredients for about 10 min. Dough should not be sticky. Rise for one hr.
Divide dough either into 4(which will make 4 9"loaf pans)
Divide dough either into 3 (which will make 3 larger ones)
Divide dough either into 6(which will make muffin size ones)

Roll into a rectangle(cookie sheet size),smear with oil and sprinkle the filling. Spread it all over.Roll it up tightly and pinch ends tight so the filling doesn't leek out.Fold over in 1/2,Twist it twice or three times and place in a greased or parch.paper lined pan.
(If making muffin size ,slice into pinwheels,place cut side up. Rise. Egg wash it and sprinkle with topping)

Rise for 20 min or so.Egg wash it and sprinkle crumb topping on it.
Bake at 350 for 45-60 min. Watch.
