  • 1 1/2 CUPS GRANULATED SUGAR
  • 2/3 CUP (5 OZ. CAN) EVAPORATED MILK
  • 2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER
  • 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
  • 2 CUPS MINIATURE MARSHMALLOWS
  • 2 CUPS (12 OZ. PKG.) NESTLE"S TOLL HOUSE PREMIUM WHITE MORSELS
  • 1/2 CUP (OR MORE LIKE ME) CHOPPED PECANS
  • 2 TEASPOONS MAPLE FLAVORING
  • 20 PECAN HALVES

Step 1

LINE 8X8 PAN WITH FOIL

COMBINE BUTTER, EVAPORATED MILK, SUGAR AND SALT IN MEDIUM, HEAVY DUTY SAUCEPAN. BRING TO FULL BOIL, STIRRING CONSTANTLY, OVER MEDIUM HEAT. BOIL, STIRRING CONSTANTLY FOR 4-1/2 - 5 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND STIR IN MARSHMALLOWS, MORSELS, NUTS AND MAPLE FLAVORING. STIR VIGOROUSLY FOR 1 MINUTE OR UNTIL MARSHMALLOWS ARE MELTED. POUR INTO PREPARED PAN AND PLACE PECAN NUT HALVES IN ROWS. PRESS LIGHTLY INTO FUDGE. LET COOL AN HOUR OR SO AND THEN LIFT FOIL OUT AND CUT INTO SQUARES. YUMMY!!

THIS IS A DELICIOUS RECIPE IF YOU LIKE THE FLAVOR OF MAPLE.
I USE A LOT OF PECANS - PROBABLY A CUP OR MORE. I BOILED MINE FOR 4-1/2 MINUTES BUT EACH OVEN IS DIFFERENT. THE FIRST TIME I MADE THIS I BOILED FOR 5 MINUTES AND IT WAS TOO LONG. ENJOY!!
