My Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 cups onions, chopped
- 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef
- Italian seasoning – 2-3 tbsp.*
- Dried oregano – 2-3 tbsp.*
- Kosher salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 cups dry white wine
- 1 can tomato paste
- 2 cans whole peeled tomatoes broken up
- 1 lg. jar sliced mushrooms

Preparation
Step 1
Sauté onions until soft, add garlic and sauté about 1 more minute. Add ground beef, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt and pepper and cook until browned. Add tomato paste, tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cover pot and simmer for an hour or so (until the tomatoes have cooked down). Add wine and cook for a couple of minutes. Turn off heat, add mushrooms and let set until ready to serve. Reheat sauce while pasta is cooking. Serve with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
* We like it very spicey.
