Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/4 tsp B soda
- 1 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 3/4 tsp Powdered ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
In bowl cream together butter, 1 3/4 cups sugar until fluffy
Beat in Eggs and molasses
Sift together flour, B soda, spices,and salt. Mix together butter mixture.
Form dough into walnut size balls. Dip in 1/3 cup sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Sugar side up.
Bake for 12 to 13 minutes.
If you like cookies soft take from oven when puffed. If you want crisp cookies cook bake 2 to 3 minutes more.
