Ingredients
- 1/3 oilve oil
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 small onion minced
- 1 medium carrot minced
- 1 celery stalk minced
- 5 to 6 sage leaves
- 1 28 oz can Italian plum tomatoes put through food mills
- salt and pepper
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 lb farro (2 1/2 cups) soaked in water to cover for 2 to 3 hours. then drained

Step 1
Saute veg., add sage then tomatoes. season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil. until sauce is medium thick. about 10 min.
Bring chicken broth to a boil. Add farro to broth and stir in sauce. Cook for 30 to 40 min.
