Ingredients

  • Glaze:
  • 1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1/2 tsp almond or vanilla extract
  • 2 pkgs (8 oz each) ref. scresent rolls
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup conf. sugar
  • 1 Tblsp milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350

Combine cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk and extract.
Separate crescent roll dough into 16 pieces. Reserve 4 pcs of dough and arrange the other 12 pcs. on 13" baking stone with the bases toward the center, leaving a circle in the center of the stone.

Push excess dough together to cover stone and form an outer rim, leaving center open.

Seal perforation of dough using hands. Pinch inner ring dough to form a rim.

Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over dough.

Top with pie filling.

Press perforations on reserved dough to seal and cut lengthwise into 8 strips. Twist each strip and lay over filling like spokes on a wheel.

Fold dough over spokes around inner and outer edge.

Brush dough with beaten egg.

Cook at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Drizzle glaze over while still warm.
