Ingredients
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced deli ham
- 4 thin slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced deli turkey OR chicken breast
- 4 thin sliced Provolone cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 cup finely crushed Rice Krispies cereal
- Powdered sugar
- Strawberry preserves

Preparation
Step 1
Spread one side of each bread slice with mustard. On 4 slices of bread, layer deli meats and cheeses in the order listed; top with remaining 4 slices of bread. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and oil. Place crushed cereal on a plate. Dip each sandwich briefly in egg mixture then in cereal mixture to coat. Grill sandwiches in a dual contact grill or waffle iron until crisp and golden, 3 to 4 minutes. Sprinkle hot sandwiches with powdered sugar and serve with strawberry preserves for dipping.
