- 5-8 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cups tomato sauce

Preparation
Step 1
Cook potatoes in a pot of water until just tender and drain. Saute ground beef, green peppers, and onion in a skillet and drain. Combine the cheese, salt, brown sugar and tomato sauce in a bowl. Alternate potatoes with meat mixture (3 layers or so) in a 2 quart baking dish. Pour the tomato and cheese mixture over all. Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes.
