Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 3/4 cups Brown sugar packed and divided
  • 1/4 cup plus 3 T cocoa divided
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 T butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups hot Water
  • optional vanilla ice cream

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 4 T cocoa, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Wjisk in milk, butter and vanilla. Spread evenly in slow cooker; Mix togethr remaining 3/4 cups b sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa and sprinkle over top of batter.
Pour hot water but do not stir. Cover and c00o on high for 2 hours until tooth pick comes out clean (i inch deep_
Spoon cake into bowl and serve with ice cream.
