Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb salmon filet
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp grated lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground sea salt
  • 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

In a glass bowl, whisk together the oil, lemon zest, basil and sea salt. Pour into a zip lock bag, add salmon expel as much air as possible and seal. Marinate in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours, turning occasionally. Immerse the plank in cold water and soak for two hours. Preheat the barbecue to 450 degrees. Remove salmon from marinade, place onto plank. Place plank directly onto barbecue grill, close lid and bake for 20 minutes.
TO COOK IN THE OVEN- Place plak onto a large piece of foil and bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes
