Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 6 cups flaked coconut
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup half & half
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 tsp. shortening

Preparation
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper and set aside. In a a saucepan, cook butter over medium low heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, sir in coconut, sugar and cream. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet. refrigerate until easy to handle, about 30 minutes.
Roll mixture into balls. then shape into a cone. Return to baking sheet, refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in microwave or heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening; stir until smooth.
Dip bottoms of cones into choclate.
Return to waxed paper to harden.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
