Grandma Kamp's Cheesecake (My version)

You can vary this recipe by the amount of cream cheese used, the amount dream whip used and the crumb base.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2

    - 8 oz packages cream cheese (room temperature)

  • 2

    - small boxes lemon instant pudding

  • 2

    - small boxes vanilla or french vanilla instant pudding ( or 1 each)

  • 1-2

    teaspoons vanilla (depending on pudding used)

  • 1-2

    packages of dream whip

  • 6

    cups milk (more or less depending on preference of thickness)

  • Make graham cracker crust:

  • 1 1/2

    cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs (sometimes I use half vanilla wafers, half graham crackers)

  • 1/3

    cup white sugar

  • 6

    tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

Melt butter in 9 x 13 pan, add crumbs, sugar and butter, mix and press into bottom of pan. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add pudding, milk, dream whip and vanilla, mix slowly till blended and start to thicken. Beat on high until desired consistency about 2 minutes (fairly thick). Pour over crust and refrigerate until set.
