Ingredients
- 1 TB olive oil (Dave uses extra virgin)
- 1/2 Cup chopped yellow onion
- 2 TB. minced fresh garlic
- 1 6-oz. can tomato paste
- 1/2 Cup prepared mustard (Dave uses Creole mustard)
- 1 Cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 Cup honey (Dave uses sourwood honey)
- 1/2 Cup soy sauce (we used reduced sodium)
- 1/2 Cup Dijon-style mustard
- 1 Cup hoisin sauce
- 1/2 Cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 TB. CHILI POWDER
- 1 TB. GROUND CUMIN
- 11/2 tsp. CRUSHED RED PEPPER FLAKES

Preparation
Step 1
In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and garlic and saute until the onions are clear, being very careful not to burn the garlic. When the onions and garlic are sauted, add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Let cool and transfer into squeeze bottles. Store in the refrigerator.
