Ingredients
- 1 pkg. bacon, fried and cut into small pieces
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 lbs. ground round beef
- 1 lb. sirloin, cut 3/4" pieces
- 3 onions, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 (14 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 can red kidney beans, drained
- 2 (6 oz.)cans tomato paste
- 2 T. chili powder
- 1 1/2 t. cayenne red pepper
- 1 T. ground cumin powder
- 1 1/2 T. paprika
- 2 bay leaves
- dash of Tabasco sauce
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 T. cornstarch to thicken
- 1 T. brown sugar
- 1 T. vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Saute garlic, ground beef and sirloin pieces until browned. Add onions and bell pepper. Saute a couple of minutes until onion and green pepper are soft. Stir in bacon, stewed tomatoes, kidney beans and tomato paste. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Cook on low for about 1 hour.
