Great concept! I only made two adjustments: First, I used sliced deli ham and wrapped it around a mixture of shredded swiss and parmesian cheese and actually inserted these "packets" into each chicken breast. Secondly, I substituted chicken broth for the wine, and added more broth than called for to stretch the sauce. This recipe got a husband-rating of "excellent!"
Very easy. Will add more Cream of Chicken soup next time, one can wasn't quite enough. But overall, veru yummy for the whole family.
Good recipe. My meat-and-potato husband liked the 'gravy' and 9 year old liked the little ham pieces!
This was a lifesaver for me! I had no clue what to make for dinner (one of those days!) I had leftover ham in freezer from xmas that I defrosted and cut into pieces, had sliced Swiss cheese - cut that up - didn't have the white wine so I substituted vegetable broth I had frozen cubes of... and there you go! dinner was made! Nice for a quick yummy meal! :)
This was amazing and I'm definitely going to be making this again. I have shared it with my friends and family. Next time I'm going to try Provolone cheese instead of the Swiss... just curious.
As a first time cook I did pretty good. My family loved it and I would make it again. Just use more sauce.
It sounded great, but it just tasted wrong. The chicken taste was overpowering. Could barely taste the ham or swiss. It wasn't bad, but for the amount of money and ingredients, I'd go with something else instead (or the traditional cordon bleu)
My fiance and I loved it the first time I made it. I just need more sauce so the next time, I times the ingredients for the sauce by three.
Yummy! This is now one of our favorites! I used deli ham, just because that's what I had on hand. HAND. I doubled the sauce and added extra Swiss cheese. I will be making this again.
It's very fast and delicious. I will definitely make it again. I cut the chicken up and next time I am going to add the pasta to the sauce and stir before serving. I made it in non-stick dutch oven.
This is my fiance's FAVORITE!! I servew this with an egg noodle recipe with parmesean cheese and garlic salt, and also a baked potato with broccoli and cheese filling!
I used sliced ham and sliced swiss cheese and layed them over the chicken and simmered it. I would definitely make this for company!
This was very good and easy to make. My husband liked it.
I would also make some additional mixture or some sort of white wine sauce to toss the noodles in, as they were kind of left out.
I made this for the first time a couple of months ago. This is a great recipe. I couldn't believe how delicious it was. It is so simple and easy and the flavors were subtle. I'm making it for dinner again tomorrow night, and I can't wait.
Awesome! I didn't use the ham because we don't eat it and I only had colby jack cheese and it came out perfect.
This is a wonderful meal to make. I loved it. I'm new at cooking and these are easy recipes and my husband loves my new recipes.
It was really easy to make and it looks great on the plate. I loved adding the cheese and wine to the sauce, it added a great flavor.
I cut the chicken into chunks and browned it. I served it lover pasta. It was very good, even my picky nine year old liked it.
This is sooooooo delicious! I added more Swiss cheese, and used deli sliced ham. I also mixed the soup, water, wine, cheese, and ham in a separate bowl before adding to the skillet. Definitely one that I'll be making again!
Quick, easy and absolutely delicious!
My whole family of picky eaters loved this! It will definitely be showing up on future menus.
I use this recipe when entertaining. My guest always thinks it is from a French cookbook!
