Ingredients
- 2 c. chopped onions
- 2 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 T. oil
- 2 lb.ground beef
- 3 (6oz.) cans tomato paste
- 3 (8oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (29oz.)can whole tomatoes chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 t. oregano
- 1 t. basil
- 1 t. salt
- 1/4 t.pepper

Step 1
Saut'e onions, green peppers,celery and garlic in oil until onions or tender. Add ground beef; cook until browned. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients; Simmer 1 hour. Remove bay leaves. Cool. Ladle sauce into can or freeze in jars or plastic freezer boxes leaving 1/2" head space. Seal, label and freeze. Yield; about 6 pints.
