Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • Plum Jam Dawson

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
2. Sift dry ingredients and slowly add to the cream-sugar mixture.
3. Refrigerate.
4. When ready to make, roll to 1/8 inches and cut with mold (preferably round as it is a sandwich cookie and you will want to fill in with plum jam).
5. Cook at 375 for 8-10 minutes.
6. Cool and spread jam on base cookie.
7. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
