Spiced Beets

Ingredients
- 3 cans sliced beets
- 1 c sugar
- 2 level tsp cornstarch
- 1 c vinegar
- 24 whole cloves
- 3 tbs catsup
- 3 tbs evoo
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 c beet juice

Preparation
Step 1
Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add vinegar, cloves, catsup, oil, salt and vanilla. Add beets and 1 1/2 c of beet juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens, about 3 minutes.
