  • 1 box (18 oz) chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 c vanilla frosting
  • 1 1/4 c Whip Cream, thawed

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 350. Coat 4 baking sheets with nonstick spray or use liner.

2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil and cocoa. Beat on low for 30 seconds or until combined. Beat on medium speed for 2 more minutes; batter will be very thick.

3. Drop batter by level tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets, 2" apart, for a total of 40 cookies. Bake for 11 minutes, rotating sheets half way through. Transfer cookies to a rack to cool.

4. In small bowl, stir together frosting and Cool Whip. Spread a heaping tablespoon of frosting mixture onto flat side of one cooled cookie, then place the flat side of a second cookie on top.

5. Roll exposed frosting in mini chocolate chips or sprinkles.
