  • 3 sticks butter softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 cup lukewarm milk
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325. In a large bowl, thoroughly cream together the butter and sugar. Next, add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Fold in flour, alternately with the combined milk and vanilla.
Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and invert onto a cake plate to cool.
