Ingredients
- Red Cabbage
- 2 T. butter
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 T. finely chopped onion
- few grains nutmeg
- few grains cayenne
- 2 T. vinegar
- 1/2 t. sugar

Step 1
Slice cabbage and soak in cold water. Put 1 quart in stew pan with butter, salt, onion, nutmeg and cayenne. Cover; cook until cabbage is tender. Add vinegar and sugar; cook 5 minutes more.
