Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • ½ cup tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Cut off tops and remove seeds from peppers. Wash and let drain. Mix together beef rolled oats, egg, onion, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper. Precook Peppers in boiling water. Stuff meat mixture into peppers. Place in casserole dish with a little water. Bake at 350 deg. For 1 hour, longer for larger peppers.

Can also add cracker crumbs and precooked rice to meat mixture if desired.
